Softball Recap: St. Clair County Wins Going Away Against Pinson Valley

St. Clair County never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Pinson Valley Indians as they made off with a 15-0 victory. This was payback for the Fighting Saints, who suffered a 10-9 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Carman Garner was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Porterfield, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI.

St. Clair County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .760. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for St. Clair County and bumps their season record up to 20-13-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Pinson Valley, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Coming up, St. Clair County will welcome Jacksonville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pinson Valley, they will head out to square off against Gardendale at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
