Basketball Recap: Byron Comes Up Short

Byron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 74-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cannon Falls Bombers. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Bombers are ranked 42nd).

Byron's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Cannon Falls, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Looking ahead, Byron will host Stewartville at 1:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Cannon Falls, they will head out to square off against Lourdes at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Bombers will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 70.04 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
