Football Recap: Lamar County Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Lamar County won the last time they faced McNair and things went their way on Friday too. The Trojans walked away with a 35-22 win over the Mustangs. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by exactly 13 points.

Ross Hamrick was his usual excellent self, rushing for 104 yards and a pair of scores.

Lamar County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayden Doctor and Joshua McDade. Lamar County got some further help from Kaden Carter: he forced three fumbles, made seven total tackles, and defended one pass.

Lamar County's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.7 points on average over those games. As for McNair, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
