Volleyball Recap: Alleman Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Alleman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rock Island Rocks. While the Pioneers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rocks 25-13 in the first set.

Alleman actually scored more points across those three sets (65-63), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-19, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Alleman saw an underclassman step up: freshman Margot Glackin had 20 digs and four assists. Those 20 digs set a new season-high mark for Glackin.

Alleman's loss dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Rock Island, they moved to 6-14 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Alleman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Quincy on the 16th. As for Rock Island, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against East Moline United on the 16th.
