Basketball Recap: Owensboro Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

On Tuesday, the Owensboro Red Devils strolled past the Lyon County Lyons with points to spare, taking the game 68-50. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

Owensboro's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shalyn Sprinkles, who went 8-for-20 en route to 20 points and five steals. Sprinkles has become a key player for Owensboro: the team is 10-2 when she posts at least three steals, but 4-5 otherwise. Gizelle Whitlock was another key player, going 7-for-14 on her way to 15 points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds.

Owensboro's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-7.
