Football Recap: Daviess County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Christian County last Friday, Daviess County came back down to earth. The Panthers and the Henderson County Colonels were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Panthers suffered a 7-6 loss. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Colonels: they've now lost four in a row.

Daviess County now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Henderson County, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Daviess County will head out to take on McLean County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Henderson County, they will venture away from home to face off against Central Hardin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colonels will be up against the Bruins' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
