Soccer Game Preview: Trivium Prep vs. St. John Paul II Catholic

Meanwhile, St. John Paul II Catholic's and Maryvale Prep's game on Thursday was close at halftime, but St. John Paul II Catholic turned on the heat in the second half with two goals. St. John Paul II Catholic's defense stepped up to hand Maryvale Prep a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won four matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

The win (which was St. John Paul II Catholic's third in a row) raised their record to 5-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those three contests. As for Trivium Prep, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
