Sheldon had won 12 straight games dating back to last season and Saniah Wiley did her part to make it 13 on Thursday. It took a bit of extra time, but the Huskies secured a 24-18 victory against the Laguna Creek Cardinals in overtime thanks in part to Wiley: he rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 140 yards on 24 of 37 attempts. Wiley didn't just play on offense: she also made one tackle and defended two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Sheldon's record now sits at 10-0. As for Laguna Creek, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Sheldon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 31-13 win against Cosumnes Oaks on the 16th. As for Laguna Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 19-12 defeat against Elk Grove on the 16th.
