Football Game Preview: Russell Christian Academy Warriors vs. Tabernacle Torches

Russell Christian Academy has gone a perfect 10-0 against Tabernacle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Torches at 7:00 p.m. Russell Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Tabernacle likes a good challenge.

Grayson Garrett was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 113 yards on only eight carries. Those 113 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Another reason for the win was Russell Christian Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 4.5 sacks. In that department, Joshua Moore was the leader with two.

Meanwhile, while it was Tabernacle who put the first points on the board on Monday, it was Jacksonville Christian Academy who put up more. The Torches came up short against the Thunder, falling 54-28. The Torches have struggled against the Thunder recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Russell Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Tabernacle, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
