Basketball Recap: Cotulla Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pettus on Tuesday, Cotulla came back down to earth. The Cowboys took a 79-60 bruising from the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) on Friday. If the Cowboys were looking for revenge after losing 52-41 to the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) when the teams met back in December of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cotulla's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Uvalde, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Cotulla and Great Hearts Monte Vista will compete for holiday cheer at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Uvalde will take on Holy Cross in a holiday battle at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
