Basketball Preview: Tushka Tigers vs. Antlers Bearcats
Tushka is 8-2 against the Bearcats since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Tushka Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Antlers Bearcats at 8:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tushka has three straight wins, the Bearcats have three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Tushka has not done well against the Bulldogs recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Tushka managed a 53-47 win over the Bulldogs.
Tagen Simon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 35 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Kason Hull, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Antlers, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-44 loss to the Panthers on Tuesday.
Tushka's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Antlers, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Tushka came up short against the Bearcats in their previous matchup back in January, falling 59-47. Can Tushka avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
