Vail Christian won the last time they faced Alameda and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Saints blew past the Pirates 3-0.

Vail Christian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Alameda to exactly 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-16.

Justin Nguyen was nothing short of spectacular: he had 20 digs and two aces.

Nguyen wasn't the only good server: Vail Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matches.

The win got Vail Christian back to even at 8-8. As for Alameda, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Vail Christian has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against STEM School Highlands Ranch on the 25th. As for Alameda, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Addenbrooke Classical Academy on the 25th.
