Baseball Game Preview: Weeki Wachee Hornets vs. Nature Coast Tech Sharks

Weeki Wachee hasn't had much luck against Nature Coast Tech recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Weeki Wachee Hornets will welcome the Nature Coast Tech Sharks at 7:00 p.m. The last four games Weeki Wachee has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Friday, Weeki Wachee didn't have quite enough to beat Hernando and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by just one run.

Weeki Wachee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Barnum, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Barnum's brought in this season.

Meanwhile, Nature Coast Tech had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Bears. That's two games straight that the Sharks have won by just one run.

Nature Coast Tech also got a great performance from RAYMOND GROETSCH as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched.

Weeki Wachee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Nature Coast Tech, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
