Basketball Recap: Mckinney North's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

If McKinney North was feeling good fresh off their 54-34 takedown of Sherman last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The McKinney North Bulldogs fell to the Anna Coyotes 52-48. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-40 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why McKinney North lost on Friday, don't look at Tiyana Alexander. Despite the final result, she went 6 of 15 on her way to 16 points along with five boards and three steals. Ryhan Balous was another key player, going 6 for 15 en route to 16 points.

Leading Anna to victory were Reagan Wright and Holland Jackson. Wright posted 22 points and seven rebounds, while Jackson dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. Those seven rebounds gave Wright a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Iv Jackson, who had four points in addition to five assists and five steals.
