Baseball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Skyline had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 7-11 to make it four. They came up short against the Issaquah Eagles, falling 14-6. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 9-3.

Otis Fontonelle was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Nolan Burek, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

As for Issaquah, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-8. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Issaquah's side, Hudson Carvalho was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave Carvalho a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Seika Saito, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two RBI, and one double.

As of now, neither Skyline nor Issaquah have any future games scheduled.
