JW North is 0-10 against Poly since May of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Huskies will face off against the Bears at 3:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
While JW North's victory against Liberty wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huskies narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bison 11-10.

Khloe Hernandez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Xochitl Frias, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
JW North was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .529. They are 11-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Poly had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 12-1 victory. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.
Marley Audoma made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off ten hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 23 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cassandra Ayala, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Honesty Romero was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
JW North's record now sits at 16-10. As for Poly, their record is now 19-7.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. JW North hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .373. However, it's not like Poly struggles in that department as they've averaged .341. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
JW North came up short against Poly in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 9-5. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
