Soccer Game Preview: Edgewater vs. Lake Brantley

The Edgewater Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Lake Brantley Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Edgewater's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over Ocoee. That five goal margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

They hit Ocoee with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Riley Goldman (2), Mackenzie Daley (2), and Isa Ariail.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Lake Brantley was forced to settle for a draw. They and Apopka finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw on Thursday.

Lake Brantley's draw makes their record 6-4-1 this season. As for Edgewater, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6-3.

Edgewater came up short against Lake Brantley when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Edgewater avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
