Basketball Recap: Apple Springs Comes Up Short

Apple Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The contest between them and the Kennard Tigers didn't end well, with the Apple Springs Eagles falling 45-28. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-16 back in December of 2024.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Katie Davis and Lauren Lankford, who each put up seven points. Kymber Roberts held things down on the boards with nine rebounds.

Apple Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Kennard, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13.

Apple Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-24 loss against Wells on the 28th. As for Kennard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 76-10 defeat against Martinsville on the 28th.
