Baseball Recap: Lincoln Lancers vs. Manual Thunderbolts

Lincoln won the last time they faced Manual and things went their way on Friday too. The Lancers walked away with a 14-10 victory over the Thunderbolts. While the Lancers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Gio Castro was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits. Castro was even better at the plate, firing off four doubles, five RBI, and one run while going 4-for-5. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jose Bustos was incredible, scoring four runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cristian Galindo, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
