Desert Pines scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 28-18 to the Amplus Academy Archers. The loss leaves the Jaguars without a win on the season.

It was another big night for Ashley Galvis, who rushed for 120 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 39 yards and two touchdowns for Amplus Academy. Tatianna Kanoa was another key player, picking up 37 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Desert Pines' defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Amplus Academy, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7.

Desert Pines will take on Arbor View at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Arbor View will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Desert Pines surely won't give up without a fight. As for Amplus Academy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 27-6 loss against Sierra Vista on the 24th.
