Softball Game Preview: Crean Lutheran Saints vs. Yorba Linda Mustangs

The Crean Lutheran Saints will venture away from home to challenge the Yorba Linda Mustangs at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Crean Lutheran has now lost 13 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 19.

Crean Lutheran couldn't beat Troy on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Saints lost 19-7 to the Warriors.

Anna Ciftcikara was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Amanda Angel, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Yorba Linda came up short against Sonora on Thursday and fell 11-6.

Madeline Jeanblanc made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Crean Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Yorba Linda, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Crean Lutheran might still be hurting after the 19-0 defeat they got from Yorba Linda when the teams last played back in April. Can the Saints avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
