Volleyball Recap: South Kingstown Rebels vs. Lincoln Lions

South Kingstown faced Lincoln in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Rebels lost 3-0 to the Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on May 7th.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 25-14.

John Barros had a dynamite game For Lincoln., getting 16 digs and four assists. Those four assists gave Barros a new career-high. Brian Gugel also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

South Kingstown's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-10. As for Lincoln, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

South Kingstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lincoln, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Westerly on the 3rd.
