Basketball Recap: Eric Slim's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Valley over St. Johns

Valley lost against St. Johns last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Valley Pirates took a 67-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Johns Redskins.

Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Eric Slim, who posted 28 points. The match was his 11th in a row with at least 15 points. Ethan Yazzie was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for St. Johns, they pushed their record up to 14-13 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
