Softball Recap: Palm Harbor University Hurricanes vs. Newsome Wolves

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Palm Harbor University had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Newsome Wolves and snuck past 6-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Palm Harbor University also won the last time the pair played back in March.

Emma Shipley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Shipley has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Shipley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
