Softball Game Preview: First Flight Nighthawks vs. Camden County Bruins

First Flight is 0-10 against Camden County since March of 2017 but things could change on Friday. First Flight will welcome Camden County at 5:00 p.m. First Flight's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Camden County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

First Flight's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when Camden County hitters got past them. First Flight came up short against Camden County on Tuesday, falling 12-2. The Nighthawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Camden County's part, Audrey Jones was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kaitlynn Barnes, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Camden County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Camden County's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3. As for First Flight, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
