While Pike's win against Lawrence Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Devils skirted past the Bears 3-2. The Red Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bears on Tuesday, too.

Pike had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 16-25, 25-15, 25-17, 15-9.

Ragan Ward paced Pike's offense, picking up 12 kills. Ward got some help from Summer Eaton and her 23 assists. Da'Jiane John controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

The victory got Pike back to even at 4-4. As for Lawrence Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Pike didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Decatur Central on the 4th. As for Lawrence Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Indianapolis Washington on the 4th.
