Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Manchester Township

If Lower Cape May wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Manchester Township, they should've done a better job of containing Madeline Nolan. The Manchester Township Hawks breezed by the Lower Cape May Tigers to the tune of 44-15 on Saturday thanks in part to Nolan, who went 6 for 14 en route to 18 points and seven steals. Her afternoon made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Joliece Reyes, who posted four points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2024.

The win was the fourth in a row for Manchester Township, bringing their record for this year to 11-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Lower Cape May, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manchester Township will venture away from home to square off against Toms River North at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lower Cape May, they will head out on the road to face off against Hammonton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
