Baseball Recap: Carrollwood Day Takes a Loss

Carrollwood Day has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.38 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They came up short against the Bloomingdale Bulls, falling 10-1.

Carrollwood Day saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Steven Vargo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Luke Anderson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Carrollwood Day's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Bloomingdale, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.

Carrollwood Day and Bloomingdale should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Carrollwood Day will take on Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Monday up 477 places (85 vs. 562). Similarly, Bloomingdale (ranked 73rd) will meet Riverview (ranked 437th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
