Volleyball Game Preview: Edison Vikings vs. Weston Ranch Cougars

The Edison Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Weston Ranch Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Edison will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Wednesday, Edison made easy work of McNair and carried off a 3-0 victory.

While Edison won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Weston Ranch didn't have quite enough to beat Chavez on Wednesday and fell 3-2. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Weston Ranch took Chavez into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 20-25, 22-25, 25-23, 15-10.

Edison's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Weston Ranch, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Edison took their victory against Weston Ranch in their previous matchup last Monday by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
