Maiden is 9-1 against Bandys since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Blue Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Grant Lawing and Brady Swett.

Maiden is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Hickory just ended the team's four-game winning streak last Friday. The matchup between the Blue Devils and the Red Tornadoes didn't end well, with the Blue Devils falling 38-21. The Blue Devils were up 21-7 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bandys). Everything went their way against North Lincoln on Friday as they made off with a 47-23 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Bandys now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Maiden, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.

Maiden was able to grind out a solid win over Bandys in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 37-29. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Swett, who rushed for 80 yards and one score, and also threw for 156 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Blue Devils still be able to contain Swett? There's only one way to find out.
