Baseball Recap: Willard Takes a Loss

Willard fell victim to Vermilion and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Sailors, falling 12-0. The loss continues a trend for the Crimson Flashes in their meetings with the Sailors: they've now lost four in a row.

Willard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jandyel Salazar, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Willard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Vermilion, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Willard will take on Huron at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vermilion, they will face off against Elyria Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
