After a string of six wins, Friendswood's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 76-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Iowa Colony Pioneers. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pioneers earlier this season, when they won 66-59.

Friendswood's defeat dropped their record down to 26-5. As for Iowa Colony, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season.

Friendswood and Iowa Colony should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Friendswood (ranked 43rd) will meet La Porte (ranked 161st) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Iowa Colony will face off against Texas City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 795 places (118 vs. 913).
