Softball Recap: Luray Sets Scoring Season-High Against Madison County

Luray's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Madison County Mountaineers. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Emilee Hassett was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and three doubles. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Alger, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.

Luray always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

With the victory, Luray broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-10. As for Madison County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
