Recap: Spencer Rockets vs. Edgar Wildcats
The Spencer Rockets lost against the Edgar Wildcats back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Spencer suffered a tough 53-31 loss at the hands of Edgar. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Spencer in their matchups with Edgar: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the defeat, Spencer had strong showings from Autumn Davis, who scored 15 points along with 4 steals, and Hannah Schreiner, who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds. Davis scored a full 48.4% of Spencer's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Spencer's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Edgar, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
Spencer will head out on the road to face off against Columbus Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on December 5th. As for Edgar, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rib Lake at 7:15 p.m. Rib Lake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Edgar is ranked 63rd).
