Soccer Recap: St. Catherine's Takes a Loss

St. Catherine lost against Norfolk Academy back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Saints came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, St. Catherine's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Norfolk Academy are ranked ninth).

St. Catherine's is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8-3. As for Norfolk Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-3-1.

St. Catherine's didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Saint Gertrude on the 6th. As for Norfolk Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 9-0 victory against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy on the 5th.
