Softball Game Preview: Tidehaven Tigers vs. Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions

For the second straight game, Tidehaven will face off against Santa Gertrudis Academy. The Tigers will face off against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tidehaven knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Santa Gertrudis Academy likes a good challenge.

Tidehaven heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Friday. They came up short against Santa Gertrudis Academy, falling 16-10. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Addison Duckett made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayleigh Nash, who went 1-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

The victory (which was Santa Gertrudis Academy's seventh in a row) raised their record to 27-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Tidehaven, their loss dropped their record down to 21-14.
