Baseball Recap: Barstow Takes a Loss

Barstow fell victim to Hesperia and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 7-0 to the Hesperia Scorpions. The Aztecs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Scorpions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Barstow saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robert Shipley, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Barstow's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hesperia, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0.

Looking ahead, Barstow will head out to face off against Littlerock at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Hesperia, they will welcome Chaparral at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
