Baseball Game Preview: Buckley Bears vs. Bear Lake Lakers

The Buckley Bears will challenge the Bear Lake Lakers at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Buckley: they have been struggling with seven straight losses at home, while Bear Lake has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

On Thursday, Buckley came up short against Manton and fell 7-3.

Landon Kulawiak made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Bear Lake came out on top against Benzie Central on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Lakers were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Huskies. The result was nothing new for the Lakers, who have now won five matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Bear Lake is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Buckley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.
