Basketball Recap: Augustine Prep Drops Highest Score of Season Against Cristo Rey

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Augustine Prep). They strolled past the Cristo Rey Trailblazers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-39. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their two-point performance the game before.

The win was the third in a row for Augustine Prep, bringing their record for this year to 3-7. The wins didn't necessarily come from the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.7 points per game. As for Cristo Rey, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Augustine Prep will take on Shoreland Lutheran in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cristo Rey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
