Hardin-Jefferson is 9-1 against Hamshire-Fannett since November of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Hardin-Jefferson Hawks will challenge the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. Hardin-Jefferson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Hamshire-Fannett likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Hardin-Jefferson humbled Tarkington with a 70-31 victory. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Hamshire-Fannett earned a 49-37 win over Livingston on Friday. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while the Lions are ranked 901st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hamshire-Fannett has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points per game. As for Hardin-Jefferson, their record is now 14-12.

Hardin-Jefferson came up short against Hamshire-Fannett in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 62-58. Can Hardin-Jefferson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
