Football Recap: Discovery Christian Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Discovery Christian's offense. They were dealt a 36-0 loss at the hands of the Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 54 points in the game before, Discovery Christian's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Discovery Christian dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Park Place Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Discovery Christian will venture away from home to square off against Manchester Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Discovery Christian will be up against the Mavericks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Park Place Christian Academy, they will take on East Rankin Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
