Kellon Trubey Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Friday, Pinecrest Academy Cadence got the W thanks in part to Kellon Trubey playing the best football he has all season. Trubey rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 203 yards and four touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 73 yards.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Trubey and Pinecrest Academy Cadence are on the road again on Thursday to play Del Sol at 6:00 p.m.

Another Game with at Least 101 Rushing Yards from Bakari Wilson

On Saturday, Canyon Springs got the W thanks in part to Bakari Wilson playing the best football he has all season. Wilson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.

The win was the third in a row for Canyon Springs, bringing their record for this year to 3-4. Wilson and Canyon Springs will take on Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
