Idalou is 7-1 against Roosevelt since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wildcats will welcome the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Idalou will be strutting in after a victory while Roosevelt will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Idalou beat Muleshoe 12-9. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Mules recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Shallowater, falling 14-7.

Everitt Rodriquez put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI.

Rodriquez wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jesus Macias, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Another was Ricardo Perez, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 14-12-1. As for Idalou, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13-1.
