Baseball Recap: North Takes a Loss

North lost to Hawken back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rangers fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 7-6.

Brady Pennza was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Billy Murphy, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

North has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Hawken, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North will square off against Chardon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hawken, they will face off against Kirtland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
