Southeast Halifax scored the most runs they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Tarboro Vikings by a score of 38-37. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (ten), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

Southeast Halifax's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Tarboro, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Southeast Halifax will host Rocky Mount Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tarboro, they will head out on the road to challenge Gates County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tarboro's pitchers better be ready for this one: Gates County has averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
