After a string of five wins, Troy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bethel Bees by a score of 3-2. Troy were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bethel apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

John Augustine and Kevin Hipolito scored both of Troy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Troy's loss dropped their record down to 11-4-1. As for Bethel, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troy will square off against Springfield at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Troy will be up against Springfield's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.94 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bethel, they will challenge Piqua at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bethel's defense better be ready for this one: Piqua have averaged an impressive 3.4 goals per game this season.
