Baseball Recap: Juarez Comes Up Short

Juarez had lost five straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-8 to make it six. They fell 13-9 to the Agricultural Science Cyclones. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

As for Agricultural Science, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games.

For Agricultural Science's part, Aiden Kessenich was incredible, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with seven stolen bases and three runs. Those seven stolen bases gave Kessenich a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarius Simmons -Watson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Agricultural Science beat Juarez by a score of 16-4 later that day.
