Basketball Recap: Jayden Hacker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Leslie County over Perry County Central

Leslie County lost against Perry County Central back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Leslie County Eagles took a hard 62-47 fall against the Perry County Central Commodores.

Leslie County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Hacker, who posted 14 points in addition to six assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Hoskins, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 15 points.

Leslie County has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Perry County Central, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leslie County and Villa Madonna will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Perry County Central, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Knott County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Knott County Central will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Perry County Central surely won't give up without a fight.
