Football Recap: Wheeling Park Patriots vs. Musselman Applemen
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Spring Mills, Wheeling Park was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Musselman Applemen 48-13 on the road. The high-scoring effort was just what the Patriots needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.
Brennan Wack was a one-man wrecking crew for Wheeling Park as he rushed for 298 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.2 yards per carry. Wack was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards. Jed Hunley made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Wheeling Park's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Coldin Burkhart was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sackshimself.
