Softball Recap: Klein Forest Eagles vs. Klein Cain Hurricanes

Klein Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 9-4 to the Klein Cain Hurricanes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in March.

Klein Forest got a big performance out of Elecia Johnson, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Saturn Dominguez also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Klein Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Klein Cain, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Klein Forest will host Incarnate Word Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Klein Cain, they will welcome Klein Collins at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.36 runs per game on average), something the Hurricanes will no doubt try to take advantage of.
